Elaine Park was a high-spirited 20-year-old actress from La Crescenta, California, who had some small parts in movies and tv such as Crazy Stupid Love and E.R. She had plans to meet up with her on-again,off-again boyfriend, Divine and see a movie on January 28, 2017. Elaine drove to Calabasas, California, to Divine’s house he shared with his parents. The couple took an Uber to a 10:45 pm movie and returned to Divine’s gated home around 1:30 am. The Uber driver noted no issues with the couple.
Divine stated Elaine awoke in a panic and seemed stressed but was also singing and dancing. He said he thought she was having a panic attack and tried to get her to stay, but she wanted to go home. The home’s security cameras catch Park walking toward her car at approximately 6 am and then the car leaves. Elaine was never seen again.
After a ping from her cellphone five days later, the police located Elaine’s gray Honda Civic forty-five minutes from Divine’s house, parked on the Pacific Coast Highway near Corral Canyon in Malibu. Inside the car, they found Elaine’s backpack, cellphone, money, and a computer. The keys were in the ignition, and the battery was dead. What they didn’t find was Elaine, blood, or any signs of a fight. A search for the young woman ensued but ultimately suspended with no results.
No one knows why Elaine would park her car there or what she was doing in that area.The family hired a private investigator, and a Facebook page has been set up to help find Elaine. It’s been four years, and the investigation is still open. There is a $140,000 reward available and Elaine’s family have started a website about her disappearance.
